Spring has sprung across Huntsville, and it’s that time of year when maple syrup is flowing true and it takes centre stage on our palette, in our hearts, and in our tummies. After two long years of being on the sidelines, the 2022 Muskoka Maple Festival is back on Saturday April 30 from 9am – 5pm in Downtown Huntsville to provide plenty of opportunities for maple syrup aficionados to taste a variety of flavours, as well as maple inspired dishes and beverages.

New for 2022, the Muskoka Maple Festival coincides with an incredible new initiative being offered by the Huntsville Municipal Accommodation Tax Association called ‘Spring into Huntsville’. ‘Spring into Huntsville’ offers visitors $125 in travel vouchers when they book a minimum 2-nights stay at a participating accommodation during the April 11, 2022 to May 2, 2022 booking window for a stay between April 26, 2022 and June 29, 2022.

The ‘Spring into Huntsville’ packages are each $125 in value and consist of a $50 gas card and $75 in cash vouchers to redeem at participating attractions, restaurants and shops. There are over 50 tourism businesses to choose from to stay and to spend. And there’s no catch!

How to Register for ‘Spring into Huntsville’

  1. Book your minimum 2-nights stay during the booking window of April 11, 2022 to May 2, 2022 for a stay between April 26, 2022 and June 29, 2022 at one of the participating accommodations and make note of the confirmation number.
  2. Then register on the Huntsville Adventures website to receive your Spring into Huntsville vouchers: once your registration is confirmed, your package will be waiting for you upon check in! (Note: registration for the package must be made during the booking window. Reservations made prior will not be accepted and will not be eligible to receive a package.)

Of course, spring reminds us all of maple, which is why taking advantage of this incredible offer and booking your stay for the Muskoka Maple Festival is the perfect way to experience spring in Muskoka.

The Muskoka Maple Festival is a family friendly event that celebrates the culmination of the maple harvest in Muskoka and is a full day of fun and activities, vendors and displays, live music, street performers and, most importantly – so much delicious food!

Maple inspired dishes include the Rotary Club of Huntsville Evening Satellite Club Pancake Breakfast, Charred Pork Back Ribs with Muskoka Maple Molasses BBQ sauce from festival sponsor 3 Guys and a Stove, bacon and pulled pork (separately) grilled cheese, maple syrup pulled pork sliders, maple syrup infused butternut squash soup, mini donuts, stuffed cookies, strudel, a variety of maple infused baked goods, vegan ice cream and truffles, and a whole lot more. Wash it down with maple beer from Canvas Brewing Co., a Wheelie Good Coffee, or a Muskoka Mudita from Mushroom Tea Co. Local Maple Syrup producers including Sugarbush Hill Maple FarmHubbert’s Maple, and Barmont Maple Syrup will be vendors at the festival, so those in attendance can bring some maple goodness home with them.

There will be entertainment for the whole family includes a drumming circle, game zone, live fiddlers and music, hula hoop performances, stilt walking, a magician, wood carving demos and so much more.

New this year for those staying overnight at local accommodations is the opportunity to enjoy Sugar Bush Tours and more live entertainment on Sunday May 1 at sugar shacks across Huntsville.

Admission to the Muskoka Maple Festival is $5 per person for those aged 13 and up, while children ages 12 and under are free to attend.
