Santa is coming to town!

Ho, ho, ho… Santa is back in town and ready for your festive visit. Check out where to can visit Santa and Mrs. Claus this December in Huntsville and Lake of Bays.


Eclipse “Walk with Light”

Looking for something new and exciting to try? Eclipse “Walk with Light” is an interactive, unique and artistic sound to light forest night walk starting at the Rotary Village Station inside Muskoka Heritage Place (100 Forbes Hill Drive). Participants walk a circular path of light, where they encounter unique heritage buildings and illuminated soundscapes linked to the seasons of the year, and the cycles of the day and moon. There is music, spoken words and thousands of interactive lights that respond to sounds created by the visitors themselves.

Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Grinch will be making special appearance under the lights on December 9 & 10, and new this year, enjoy the Holiday Market from December 16-23! There will be vendors, Santa and Mrs. Claus, the Grinch, caroling and horse drawn wagon rides all under the magic of the lights!

Portage Flyer Christmas Train Ride to Santa

Super-magicated is the word we use to describe this fun community event! On December 17, enjoy an evening ride on the lit up Portage Flyer locomotive and authentic coaches as you enjoy a cup of free hot chocolate and cookies, and sing along to carols as you wait to board the train. At the end of the track, Santa is waiting to hear “your side of the story”, and if you want to stay longer, you can always catch the next train back!

On December 4, Community Living Huntsville, Downtown Huntsville BIA and Minds Alive are coming together to provide a sensory-friendly environment for children who struggle with noise, waiting or other sensory issues, to talk with Santa. This free event takes place at Minds Alive Toy Store from 9:30-11am.
