Maple magic: Thrill Your Taste Buds at the Muskoka Maple Festival!
It’s the sweetest time of year! With sugaring season well underway, one of nature’s most decadent bounties — maple syrup — will soon get the due it deserves at the Muskoka Maple Festival.
This annual extravaganza returns on Saturday April 27, 2024 from 9am – 5pm on Main Street in downtown Huntsville to serve up a tantalizing array of maple-infused treats. The mouth-watering goodness runs the spectrum from savoury to sweet, sometimes in the most unexpected ways. (Gourmet maple syrup marshmallows, anyone?)
Unleash your inner foodie
The fantastic lineup of food vendors — each with their own unique maple-infused offerings — is a highlight of this beloved street festival.
First, fuel up for the festival fun with a hearty pancake breakfast courtesy of Rotary People of Action Huntsville, featuring fluffy pancakes drizzled with rich, local maple syrup. But be sure to leave room for the many maple-inspired delicacies you’ll find streetside … don’t leave your appetite at home!
Prepare your taste buds for a savoury flavour explosion. Jimmy’s Meats will take you on a flavour adventure with Bourbon Sausage served with Maple Crème Fraiche and Bacon Lardons. The Banger’s got the comfort food covered with Maple Bacon Grilled Cheese, featuring Hubbert’s maple syrup. And the Fry-R Truck serves up sweet, savoury, and oh-so-satisfying Maple Bacon Poutine.
Show your sweet tooth some love, too, with maple-flavoured marshmallows from the Muskoka Marshmallo Company, maple syrup-stuffed cookies from the Muskoka Stuffed Cookie Company, maple-candied pecans (and more!) from Erika’s Bakery, and everyone’s favourite Sugarnuts Mini Donuts.
From sap to syrup
The heart and soul of the Muskoka Maple Festival is the maple producers. We wouldn’t have this street festival — or its namesake sweet treat — without them. Chat up the sugarbush owners to find out how they get from sap to syrup, the best time to tap a tree, and the difference between an amber and dark syrup, and then take home some maple syrup of your very own.
Make sure you don’t miss an ounce of maple goodness! Visit all of the Muskoka Maple Festival vendors.
Revel in live music, buskers, and games galore!
The entertainment lineup at the Muskoka Maple Festival ensures a vibrant atmosphere for all ages. Revel in the live music, buskers, and games galore! The lively tunes of the fiddle create a festive ambiance, adding to your authentic maple experience. Oversized games add a playful element, encouraging friendly competition and a fun environment. While our lineup of street performers including stilt walkers, hula hoopers and ladder acts bring a touch of whimsy to your day.
