The Fairvern Nursing Home Board of Directors is hosting A Night in New Orleans on Thursday November 15, 2018 at 3 Guys and a Stove!
A Night in New Orleans is a fundraiser in support of the Fairvern Nursing Home Rebuild. Fairvern provides 24-hour nursing, personal and palliative care to residents of Huntsville and Parry Sound. The aging building and new requirements for Long Term Care in Ontario mean that Fairvern must be rebuilt. The Province will provide a portion of the needed funding but the remainder of the capital must be raised through local community initiatives. This is where you come in! At A Night in New Orleans, 100% of the proceeds go towards this incredible Fairvern initiative. So, join us for a night in the Louisiana Kitchen with a delicious 4-course meal courtesy of 3 Guys and a Stove, Silent Auction items and an evening full of fun, all for a great cause. Community support is needed to ensure that the new Fairvern will meet the complex needs of residents as well as provide a comfortable environment.
Your meal includes:
A sweet alcoholic drink made with rum, fruit juice, and syrup or grenadine. The creation of this delicious daiquiri is credited to New Orleans tavern owner Pat O’Brien, and has been a staple in the French Quarter since the 1940s.
Shrimp smothered in the mother sauce of New Orleans made with the Holy Trinity – onions, bell peppers, celery, stock, tomatoes and seasoning. All topped off with the Creole Sauce that leads the way for the city’s famous food heritage.
The Wedge of K Paul’s Kitchen:
A wedge of lettuce sprinkled with tomatoes, green onions and bacon, served with your choice of blue cheese dressing or dill vinaigrette.
Blackened Beef Tenderloin:
Our 6-ounce beef tenderloin is aged, seasoned and blackened in a cast iron pan and served with horseradish, brown garlic butter, potatoes and roasted vegetables.
First created by Ella Brenna and Chef Paul Blangé at their restaurant Brennan’s, this delicious dessert is made with bananas, vanilla ice cream and a sauce made from butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, dark rum and banana liqueur.
Also enjoy a complimentary drink during dinner service!
Your support of our “Night in New Orleans” will be gratefully appreciated by the Board, staff and residents of Fairvern.
Now is Fairvern’s time – please support this Home – they want to be ready when you may need them.
Tickets are available for $100 at the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce. Visit the Chamber office at 5 Brunel Road in Huntsville or give them a call at 705.789.4771.
